If you are an author writing from a professional/practitioner perspective and writing for other professionals/practitioners in your field your work may be suitable for the professional list.

Applied Academic Research

If you are writing from an academic perspective, but your research based work is likely to be of interest to both an academic and practitioner audience, the applied research list may be the appropriate one for your proposed book.
