I really enjoyed Penny Pullan’s mini workshop run by the British Computer Society PROMS-G this week. Penny used a series of short simple activities to illustrate how to engage people in the risk identification process and offered some great advice on handling conflict, identifying who to invite, handling over-influential group members and recording possible risks. This is one of a series of workshops that she is running with groups such as the APM and the PMI. If you’d like to take part, you can find details of the upcoming events in Penny’s blog on her website www.makingprojectswork.co.uk. Penny is co-author of the forthcoming ‘Short Guide to Facilitating Risk Management’.  Jonathan Norman – Publishing Director, Gower
