Evening Presentation (British Computer Society, Malta section) – A model for Project Success – by Dr Emanuel Camilleri:
Why are some projects perceived as failures when they have met all the traditional standards of success, namely, completed on time, completed within budget and meeting all the technical specifications? Why are some projects perceived to be successful when they have failed to meet two important criteria that are traditionally associated with success, namely, not completed on time and not completed within budget? The question regarding what constitutes project success is a complex and illusive issue. To reduce this complexity it is imperative that a critical set of project success factors are identified so that a project success framework is developed.
A presentation will be given by Dr Emanuel Camilleri who is currently, a visiting senior lecturer at the University of Malta and author of the new book Project Success: Critical Factors and Behaviours. This event will be held on the evening of Tuesday 1st March 2011 at the Corinthia San Gorg at 6.00pm. This event is free of charge for the members of BCS, and €10 for other attendees.
