I am extremely excited by the announcement of the Virtual Conference that the APM is running in conjunction with Eddie Obeng and the Virtual Business School. Conference Zero (Thursday 17th October 2013) seeks to apply the techniques of zero defects in manufacturing and zero fatalities in the construction industry to the world of project management. It makes a very bold statement: ‘to create a world in which all projects succeed’. The event is revolutionary in another respect too; it is a virtual conference that will take place in the collaborative virtual learning environment QUBE; that means that if you attend, you will be able to log in from anywhere in the world and you will be present as an avatar, rather than in person. I have experienced QUBE on a number of occasions and it is an extraordinary space; very intuitive and very rewarding.

Gower will have a virtual exhibit at the conference so do come along and meet us.

The event is free for APM members.
