Did you know that October is National Cyber Security Awareness Month?
Acknowledging the importance of cyber security, President Obama designated October as National Cyber Security Awareness Month NCSAM to raise awareness and increase resiliency in the event of a cyber incident. The European Union has now adopted their own version entitled European Cyber Security Month (ECSM).
Each initiative aims to engage and educate both the public and private sector about cyber security, preparing all in the event of a cyber incident. Using the STOP. THINK. CONNECT message, the programme hopes to communicate that cyber security is Our Shared Responsibility.
Gower Publishing and our Cyber Security authors have the pleasure of supporting this great initiative and throughout October we will be sharing information and advice here on The Gower blog and via our social media channels: Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, Google+ and Pinterest.
